The HIGHQUEST DISCIPLESHIP Series
HIGHQUEST is not a traditional Bible study with questions to answer but a resource (tool) to help men and women personally meet with God in the Scripture, listen to His voice, reflect on what they hear, and share that journey with a few others. HIGHQUEST guides individuals in developing a few critical, personal, spiritual practices that will equip them for a lifetime of discipleship along. Along with these practices, they will explore, first hand, core life issues involved in following Christ. HIGHQUEST facilitates the discovery of truth by helping individuals meet God in the Scripture and listen to the Holy Spirit.
Discipleship is neither a class or a destination but rather a direction of pursuit. A disciple is one who has his heart set on following Christ for a lifetime. Along the journey a disciple may hit speed bumps, pot holes and detours but he maintains the set of his heart to follow Christ. Most people have never had a spiritual mentor who can come alongside and walk with them on their spiritual journey, helping them build the foundation for a lifetime of following Christ. What was meant to be normative has now become the exception. But this can change. It only takes someone who is willing to be a model and mentor, equipped with a few essential tools, to change the spiritual landscape. If you have the heart, HIGHQUEST can be your resource. Who is HIGHQUEST for?
HIGHQUEST is a discipling tool that can be used by ordinary men and women to disciple others who in turn can disciple still others. We believe that if people have simple, practical tools, they can not only equip others but they can teach them to equip others. In this strategy of spiritual generations (II Timothy 2:2), thousands of people can be reached through their natural networks of relationships.
At one level HIGHQUEST is for any man or woman who has the desire to become a follower of Christ. It will help equip them to walk with God using a few basic skills and concepts. At another level it is for the person who wants to help others become a follower of Christ. It doesn't require the gift of teaching or even leading. It only requires the ability to recruit, facilitate, and model.
