HighQuest Development Team

HIGHQUEST is developed by a team of Navigator staff who share a common vision for reaching and equipping men and women for Christ and His Kingdom.

Ron and Mary Bennett

 Ron grew up in Iowa and graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Aerospace Engineering.  In 1970 he joined the staff of The Navigators after serving as an officer in the US Army. Over the past 40 years he has ministered in the collegiate, community, military, and churches environments.

Ron is the author of Intentional Disciplemaking (NavPress 2001). He is coauthor of Opening the Door and The Adventure of Discipling Others (NavPress 2003). Ron and his wife,Mary, developed a Bible study for new believers called Beginning the Walk (NavPress 2005).   Mary developed the HIGHQUEST:  Women of Distinction Series to parallel the men's series.

Ron and Mary live in Kansas City where he serves as the heartland regional director for Navigator Church Ministry.

Larry Glabe
Larry grew up in Illinois and is a graduate of Illinois State University with a BA degree in Secondary Education.  Larry taught school and coached before joining the staff of The Navigators. His ministry assignments with The Navigators include Campus Director for the University of Northern Iowa, Campus Director for the University of Missouri, Business and Professional Men's Ministry Director for Missouri, and Navigator Church Ministry Director for Central Missouri. 

In addition to being a spiritual coach to business men, Larry has developed seminars and materials used in men's ministries around the country.  He coauthored an evangelism tool called Opening the Door published by NavPress and created a discipling tool called "Forums of Four" which was the foundation for the HighQuest series.  Larry and his wife, Kathy, live in Columbia, MO.

Chuck Strittmatter

Chuck was raised in southwest Iowa.  He served in the U.S. Navy before attending the University of Northern Iowa and joined The Navigators staff after graduation.  His assignments with The Navigators include Campus Directory at KSU, Regional Director of New England, Country Director of Australia, and Field Director for Iowa/Nebraska. Chuck served as an interim pastor and coach to church leaders through The Navigators Church Discipleship Ministry

Chuck went to his heavenly home on November 23, 2009 to be with the One loved and served.  Chuck modeled the life of a disciple and disciplemaker.  He finished his course of faith well and he is deeply missed

Bob Walz

Bob grew up in Nebraska and graduated from the University of Nebraska with a major in Zoology/Pre-Medicine. His initial assignment with The Navigators was at Hosei University in Tokyo, Japan. Bob has led collegiate ministries at the University of Iowa, Kansas State University, University of Nebraska and Nebraska Wesleyan University.

Bob has served on the National Collegiate Leadership Team as a National Collegiate Conference Director and as the Director of Creative Resources. He has developed The Field Survival Kit a CD of materials for helping people minister to others and has been distributed to men and women serving in the armed forces in Iraq. Many of the items in the kit are available at this website: www.navresources.com .  Bob has also  coauthored a devotional for high school athletes called Get in the Game.  Bob and his wife Sandy live in Lincoln, Nebraska where Bob leads the Nav 20s ministry.
