FAQ
1. Q: Why do you say that HIGHQUEST is not a typical Bible Study?
A: A Bible study usually involves a deductive approach where a question is asked, Bible references are given, and specific answers are expected. HIGHQUEST uses more of a inductive approach where there are no specific questions to answer but you are guided to reflect on a passage and discover what it is saying. The guided reflection uses the sound study questions of: What does it say?, What does it mean? How do I apply it?
2. Q: What is the difference between the men's and women's version?
A: The basic themes and spiritual practices are identical for both men and women. There are some headings or topics within the women's version that differs from the men due to the desire to make HIGHQUEST gender specific and deal with the appropriate gender issues. HighQuest: women of distinction series uses a different metaphor (gardening vs adventure) to build the content on. The design and layout are different to accommodate the different way men and women approach written material. Also the men's series has 9 units where the women's series has 6.
3. Q: Where can I go to see a composite of the HIGHQUEST units?
A: Download a HIGHQUEST brochure (pdf)
4. Q: What is the suggested order to to go through the HIGHQUEST series?
A: HIGHQUEST was designed with a high degree of flexibility to allow the mentor freedom to meet the needs of those he or she is mentoring. Since the three tracks of Knowing, Reflecting, and Sharing Christ are all critical and interdependent, it is important that a person gets exposure to each one. Normally we suggest using one unit in each track before using a second. Since units in Track II and III add new skills to the Appointment with God discipline, there may be times when a second unit in Track I is used before going to track II in order to build greater consistency in the AWG skill.

5. Q: How is HIGHQUEST different from other discipling material?
A: Although the application is the same for both, HIGHQUEST is built on a different "operating system" (like a Mac vs PC). Traditional discipling materials are built around doctrine and disciplines. HIGHQUEST is built around relationship and responsibility. The focus is to build a relationship with Christ using a few, essential spiritual practices in the context of reflecting on Scripture and applying it to life.
6. Q: What skills/qualifications are required to lead a HIGHQUEST forum?
A: The basic qualifications to lead a HighQuest forum is the willingness to model and share your life. HIGHQUEST does not require any specific spiritual gift. It does require that you are willing to be transparent and invite others to follow you as your follow Christ.
The material in HIGHQUEST provides the tracks, content and structure. All you need to add is the vision, challenge, and example.
