Men on a Mission - Track I: Know Christ Deeply
Most men find their identity in their titles, positions, or in what they accomplish. Our lives are spent trying to prove our competence while living in constant fear that we will someday be found out and exposed. But what if our lives were based not on what we did, but on who we know? The Bible's perspective is that knowing Christ is both our greatest privilege and our greatest challenge. God has put within the heart of every man the desire to know Him. The desire may be masked by the callousness of indifference, the cloud of sin, or the compulsion of busyness. . .but it is there. Since God is self existent and not caused, he stands outside our understanding. He is not “like” anything we know. Yet he has chosen to enter our world and reveal himself to us. What we are able to know about God is not comprehensive but it is sufficient.
The Scripture becomes our compass. The Bible was not written as a text on theology but rather an unfolding story of the infinite, Creator God. It is a guide for helping people on their quest to know him. The following units in Track I: Know Christ Deeply, will help you develop a greater understanding of who Christ is and what it means to live in light of that understanding.

Track I: Know Christ Deeply overview
His Glory

Order now
This unit of HIGHQUEST looks into the nature of God as he has revealed himself in Scripture. It is not an option for us to accept part of God’s revealed nature and disregard others, inventing our own image of God, one that makes us comfortable. We discover his glory when we see him as he reveals himself. The timeless and ultimate purpose of God is to be known for who he is. The prophet Habakkuk wrote centuries ago, “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of God as the waters cover the sea” (Hab. 2:14). That plan has not changed.
God’s glory is the manifestation or revelation of his nature and expresses the reality of his essence. Glory is not itself a separate attribute but the revelation of all his attributes. As light is the visible expression of the essence of the sun, so God’s attributes are the light and expression of his nature. As the planets in our solar system glorify the sun by reflecting its light, so we glorify God as we reflect his nature. Glorifying God is to act in such a way that we acknowledge and demonstrate what is true about God
This unit will explore some of God’s attributes that reflect his glory:
• Sovereignty • Holiness • Wisdom • Justice
• Goodness • Jealousy • Faithfulness • Grace
